WHAT: 2010 Artistic Grants

·         Musician, singers, and composers work stipends

·         Photo and graphic artists assistant stipends and IASPIS (The Swedish Arts Grants Committee International Program for Visual Artists) project studies in Stockholm

WHY: Swedish Arts Grants Committee

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (Konstnärsnämnden) awards grants and allowances and promotes international cultural exchange in the areas of visual art, design, music, dance, theater and film. They support artists´ travels, projects and artistic work in general. Annually about 7 000 applications are processed. The Committee allocates some 100 million SEK and 1 700 grants each year. 

WHEN: Application Deadline

·         General artist grants – 15 February 2010

·         IASPIS (visual artists) – 1 April 2010

WHO: Criteria

·         Applicant’s main artistic practice must be in Sweden or applicant must be a permanent resident of Sweden

·         Grants intended for practising artists, especially those who do not have permanent employment

·         Only to individual artists
