1 April 2010, the Philippine Embassy will ONLY issue Machine Readable Passports
(MRPs) and will no longer issue

of a lost or expired passport and the holder is travelling to the Philippines
with urgency, the Philippine Embassy will issue a one-way Travel Document and
will advise the applicant to apply for an MRP or e-Passport once he/she arrives

passport applicants are strongly advised to apply for early renewal of their
green passports, even those that are still due to expire in six months or more.
