Centered on Christ. 2. Evangelistic and missionary. 3. Focused on the family. 4. Being community. 5. Living a preferential option for the poor. 6. Exercising servant leadership. 7. Being a servant to the Church. Ministries: The CFC-FFL is a Complete Christian Family life renewal program and thus in addition to the married couples, it has several “ministries” to cover the different groups within society. 1) Couples for Christ (CFC FFL) – Christian Married Couples 2) Handmaids of the Lord (CFC HFL) – Mature single women or married women whose husbands are not part of the community. 3) Servants of the Lord (CFC SvFL) – Mature single men or married men whose wives are not part of the community 4) Singles for Christ (CFC SFL) – young single adults (men and women) aged 21 and above 5) Youth for Christ (CFC YFL) – youths (boys and girls) aged 13 to 21 6) Kids for Christ (CFC KFL) – young boys and girls aged 4 to 12 Regular Activities: • Christian Life Seminar (CLS) – An integrated course of 9 talks intended to lead the seminar participants into a renewed understanding of and response to God’s call to them as Christians. This is also the entry point into the community. Usually the CLS takes place either one weekend, from Sat-Sun, or on two consecutive weekends at the Church. The scheduled CLS will be in mid-June and in mid-October. • General Assemblies – Held once a month at the Sta. Eugenia Church, usually during the last Sunday of the Month, from 1400-1700. This is a gathering of all the members of the community for worship, prayer and fellowship. Oftentimes there are also teachings or catechisms given during the assemblies. • Youth Camp – A weekend retreat for Youths to learn more about God, how to be a committed Christian, and how it feels to be part of a supportive and joyful Christian community. This also is the entry point into the Youth for Christ (CFC YFL) • Weekly Household (Prayer) meetings – This is a group of 3 to 10 people of the same ministry that meet at one of the member’s homes in order to worship and pray together. Afterwards, a bible reading or a relevant topic is brought up and based on this, the group discusses/shares how they can still remain faithful God and become even better Christians to their family and to the community. • European Conferences – Each ministry has their own conference that takes place once a year and rotates to the different European countries. During this whole weekend activity, the communities from the different European nations gather together to worship and pray together as one united family in Christ. There are usually inspiring talks and sharings from various speakers and there are also many presentations, competitions and games to promote camaraderie amongst brothers and sisters within the community. • Weekend Retreats – Each ministry has their own specific retreat normally conducted over a weekend • Family Day Sportsfest – during July or early August, the entire community and their families gather together for a whole day of food, fun and games • Christmas party – During Christmas, the community holds a party to commemorate the birth of Christ and to share the joy amongst brothers and sisters in the community • Music Ministry – In addition to leading the worship during the General Assemblies, the music ministry sings during the English mass every 3rd Sunday of the month and during the Filipino mass held every 2nd Saturday of the month. • Teachings – Usually conducted whenever guest speakers or leaders from different countries come over to provide spiritually nourishing words of wisdom and prayer.
