Ambassador Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson Attends the 91st Anniversary of the International ‘De Jure’ Recognition of the Republic of Latvia on 26 January 2012 Posted 4 February, 2012 - 02:10 Ambassador Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson, Dean of non-resident Ambassadors to Latvia congratulated President Andris Bērziņš on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the international 'de jure' recognition of the Republic of Latvia on 26 January 2012. Included in the photo is South Africa’s non-resident Ambassador Mandisa Dona Marasha.	NAIA Lowers Terminal Fee to P550 For International Flights Posted 4 February, 2012 - 01:59 NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) announced last January 2012 that the terminal fee for international flights will be lowered to P550.00 . The rollback of terminal fee from P750 to P550 for leaving passengers for abroad took effect on Wednesday, 01 February 2012. The rollback action was the outcome of the end of the 5-year security development plan program for NAIA which started in 2007. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), headed by General Manager Jose Angel Honrado and leads in supervising the NAIA, decided to imposed additional charge of P200 to improve security measures at the NAIA. MIAA’s security improvement scheme facilitated the acquisition of equipment such as surveillance cameras and new x-ray machines for NAIA.

UN Flash Appeal for the Flash Flood Victims in the Southern Philippines Posted 25 December, 2011 - 15:00 The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs released on 22 December 2011 a Flash Appeal calling for international support for the Philippine Government’s humanitarian relief efforts in the areas in the Southern Philippines affected by recent tropical storm Washi (“Sendong”). The total amount of the Flash Appeal is USD28 million to cover the immediate needs of victims.
